Art-Efex will scan images from photos or print; color and tonal correction will be applied to images as needed. Color casts and unwanted artifacts are removed. Aging, faded or cracked photographs can, in many cases, be restored. It is true that scanners are becoming much more affordable, and thus, much more commonplace. And scanning software is becoming easier to use. Why pay to have someone else do a scan for you ? Simply because professional scans require an artist's critically-trained eye and touch. Images can be scanned to your specified resolution, and saved to a variety of Windows graphics formats. Mac owners using PowerMacs should be able to read TIF files, or we can e-mail scans to you as JPEG files, readable by any Web browser. Digital photography is also available for clients who need photographs for Websites, brochures, catalogs, newsletters, or other uses. Images are immediately downloaded to the computer. There is no waiting time or expense for for film processing, thus cutting production time.
